The Ijebu People's Choice Award is the mass-voting recognition arm of Ijebu Shutdown Festival. It gives ordinary creators, hustlers, vendors, personalities, businesses and brands a real shot at recognition regardless of connections.

It generates a season of public participation before the festival and builds a living yearly record of who and what Ijebu Land genuinely loves.

2026 launch edition

This first edition runs end to end through the Awards platform, with TicketPass powering the voting layer. Public nominations and votes drive the public categories; the organising committee verifies eligibility rather than selecting favourites.

Special honours

A small number of individuals may receive a quiet, committee-selected honour for standout or lifetime contribution to Ijebu culture. This sits outside the public process and is not presented as a parallel award programme.
